Taiwanese companies manufacturing servers for AI data centers are applying AI directly within their factories to accelerate production and meet the booming demand for next-generation AI systems.

At Nvidia’s tech event in Taipei, CEO Jensen Huang announced that Vera Rubin has entered mass production. A standard Vera Rubin system consists of 18 processor trays, along with cooling systems, power supplies, network switches, and specialized racks for high-speed data and communication management.

Jensen Huang stated that the assembly time for a server rack has plummeted from about two hours with the Grace Blackwell generation to just 5 minutes for the Vera Rubin.

At Computex 2026, Foxconn showcased a Vera Rubin server tray labeled “100% automation.” Chairman Young Liu noted that the company can now produce one tray per minute without direct human involvement in the process.

Foxconn has been developing its “Genesis” smart factory project over the past two years. AI collects real-time sensor data and operational signals to support management decision-making and suggest handling solutions.

According to Foxconn, production line capacity and efficiency have increased by 50%, while the accuracy of fault root-cause analysis has reached 90%.

Wistron is also utilizing AI to generate simulated defect patterns in about one second to train quality inspection systems, boosting defect detection accuracy by 5–20%.

In the first half of 2026, Taiwan’s exports of information and communication technology equipment, including servers, surged by 83.8% year-on-year to $187.3 billion, accounting for over 40% of total exports. Wistron Chairman Simon Lin commented that AI will become an inevitable driver of manufacturing as both products and processes grow increasingly complex.

📌 Conclusion: AI is not only driving server demand but is also reshaping the very way servers are manufactured. Foxconn and Wistron apply AI to automate nearly the entire process, shortening assembly time from two hours to five minutes, increasing production efficiency by 50%, and improving inspection quality. Amidst an 83.8% surge in Taiwan’s server exports to $187.3 billion, AI is becoming the core element enabling the manufacturing sector to keep pace with the growth of global AI infrastructure.
