President Donald Trump’s administration launches America.gov, an AI chatbot-integrated portal helping citizens find federal information and services.

According to Chief Design Officer Joe Gebbia, the system utilizes Google’s Gemini and xAI’s Grok.

The chatbot can query approximately 29,000 government websites to answer questions tailored to specific needs.

Gebbia stated that answers are based exclusively on official sources to limit outdated or inaccurate information from third-party sites.

Google stated that Gemini will help over 100 million people access public resources more quickly and conveniently.

America.gov is designed to replace the experience of having to search individually across multiple federal agency websites.

Gebbia noted that about 40 million people visit government websites every day to accomplish a task.

The launch ceremony was attended by President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, along with numerous officials and business leaders.

Trump described this as a modernization of how the government operates in the 21st century.

The event also discussed AI, energy, healthcare, space, and agriculture.

The selection of Grok could raise questions regarding conflicts of interest since Gebbia is a Tesla board member, and Elon Musk is connected to xAI and SpaceX.

📌 Conclusion: America.gov shows that the government is transitioning from a fragmented portal model to an AI assistant model that retrieves data across multiple agencies. However, the claim that answers cannot be wrong must be verified through source citation mechanisms, data updates, text version tracking, and seamless transfer to human officers when questions involve legal matters or affect citizens’ rights.
